UN Chief Anthony Guterres cautioned on Friday about the escalating bias and double standards targeting Muslims globally, urging social media platforms to take action against such trends.

As reported by Al Jazeera, Guterres highlighted a growing wave of Islamophobic sentiments, noting instances of explicit disrespect towards Muslim places of worship and sacred sites, actions that blatantly infringe upon human rights.

Sources revealed that human rights observers have recently documented a noticeable uptick in Islamophobia and bias against Muslims not only in the UK, the US, and India but also in various other nations. Interestingly, these countries are openly endorsing efforts to combat such discriminatory behavior.

Citing the observations of human rights monitors, the report emphasized a spike in anti-Islamic, anti-Arab, and anti-Semitic attitudes following Operation Storm al-Aqsa.

In addressing this concerning trend, Antonio Guterres emphasized the collective need to safeguard unity, humanity, and the dignity of all individuals.
