Constructed in the Bayanzo region of the Takhta Pul district in Kandahar province, a dam with a price tag of 36 million Afghanis has been finished.

The Information and Culture Department of Kandahar highlighted that the dam stands at a height of 16.5 meters, spans 245 meters in length, and boasts a storage capacity of 2.5 million cubic meters of water.

The completion of the dam occurred within a span of ten months.

These dams, erected across various provinces by governmental bodies and benefactors, serve the purpose of water retention, water resource management, and fortification of the agricultural sector.
