Cancer hospital equipment discussed with international organization
Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, held a meeting with the Director of the World Health Organization for Afghanistan, Edwin Ceniza Slawder, and the head of the polio team for Afghanistan within the organization, Mandeep Ratti.
As per the Ministry of Public Health, the discussions during the meeting revolved around the organization's services in Afghanistan, addressing prevailing issues within the sector, fortifying the healthcare system, bolstering infectious disease hospitals in the nation, enhancing the quality of services provided by implementing bodies, and attracting international aid.
Mr. Jalali stressed the advancement of healthcare services, the procurement of equipment for the cancer hospital, and the reinforcement of services at infectious disease hospitals in Afghanistan, boasting approximately 350 beds.
The leaders from the World Health Organization and the polio eradication team for Afghanistan, highlighting their ongoing collaboration, pledged to continue supporting the health sector, soliciting aid, and cooperating in various other domains.
