Pakistan denies rumors of attacks on parts of Wakhan
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry has dismissed allegations of an incursion by its forces into Afghanistan's Wakhan region.
In response to these claims, Zahra Mumtaz Baloch, the spokesperson for the Pakistan Foreign Ministry, emphasized Pakistan's dedication to upholding diplomatic relations with neighboring countries, including Afghanistan.
These assertions follow reports that certain Pakistani intelligence agencies had circulated rumors regarding attacks by Pakistani militias in parts of Wakhan.
Conversely, Afghan National Defense Minister Maulvi Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid previously declared Wakhan as the "forefront of Afghanistan" and affirmed that Afghan security and defense forces would protect it under all circumstances.
It is important to highlight that recently, after Pakistani aircraft targeted Paktika's Barmal district, Afghan forces responded resolutely to Pakistan and, for the first time, struck at the hubs of malevolent groups and their backers across the fictitious Durand Line.
