The Iraqi Ambassador to Turkey, Majid Al-Lajmawi, and the Afghan Chargé d’Affaires, Mohammad Zubair Wadan, held talks regarding the establishment of embassies for their respective countries in Kabul and Baghdad.

According to the official Iraqi news agency, which cited the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, the discussions encompassed the bilateral ties between Afghanistan and Iraq.

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry highlighted that diplomats from both nations deliberated on the inauguration of embassies and reinstating diplomatic missions in Kabul and Baghdad, deeming this development crucial for enhancing official relations and bilateral cooperation.

Meanwhile, the Afghan Embassy in Turkey disclosed that Mr. Wadan engaged in conversations with the Iraqi ambassador concerning the political and cultural relationships between Afghanistan and Iraq.
