The militant faction of the Hamas jihadist movement, Al-Qassam, has declared that its troops launched an ambush against Israeli occupying forces in Khan Yunis, Gaza.

Al-Qassam reported that the attack resulted in the deaths of four Israeli soldiers, with 15 others sustaining severe injuries, and noted that the conflict is ongoing.

Contrarily, the Israeli media source "Hadshot Zaman" stated that the number of Israeli soldiers killed in the confrontation was eight.

Al-Jazeera TV referenced Israeli media reports indicating that the skirmish persists, with some Israeli soldiers currently unaccounted for.

Israeli media outlets have disclosed that the Israeli military is striving to secure the area, actively searching for the missing soldiers amidst concerns that some may have been captured by Al-Qassam Mujahideen.

Beyond the casualties, accounts suggest that Al-Qassam forces also obliterated multiple Israeli military vehicles during the ambush.
