Iran's president tells Qatar's emir in phone call; the attack was response to the U.S.

Iranian President Masoud Pezzeshkiyan engaged in discussions regarding the recent attack with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in a telephone conversation, as reported by Iranian media.

The details of the phone call were disclosed by Iran's Fars news agency. During the conversation, the Iranian president conveyed to the Qatari emir that the Iranian people are steadfastly defending their rights, emphasizing, "I trust that you understand that our recent attack was merely a response to American actions."

Fars further reported that the Qatari emir reassured Iran that Qatar would not permit any American military installation on its soil to be utilized against Iran, emphasizing their commitment to supporting Iran as a friend and brotherly nation.

Conversely, later that day, the Iranian president also conversed with Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.

Pezzeshkiyan highlighted in the discussion that Iran harbors no intentions of engaging in conflict with its neighboring and Islamic nations; however, responses to American actions became necessary.

It is notable that Iran directed missiles towards a prominent US military base in Qatar last night in retaliation to recent US assaults.
