Kabul Municipality Initiates Pavement of Key Kabul-Logar Road
The Kabul Municipality has announced the commencement of asphalt laying on the initial segment of the Kabul-Logar road following the completion of essential groundwork.
Engineer Mohammad Hamid Sadat, who heads the Infrastructure Projects department at the Municipality's Programs and Projects Management unit, mentioned that one kilometer of the road is currently prepared for asphalt application. Simultaneously, efforts are ongoing to develop the remaining portions.
Mr. Sadat elaborated that the road development initiative, spanning 7 kilometers in length and 60 meters in width from Nejat Tower to Charkh-Aab, incorporates the construction of sidewalks, parking areas, flower beds, installation of lighting fixtures, and various other standard road features.
The Kabul-Logar road holds significant economic importance as a key corridor in the southern region of Kabul city. The Municipality plans to extend the project further, with the construction of the subsequent segment from Charkh-Aab to Sang-Nushta in the pipeline.
