Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan Meets Interior Minister
Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan, Sadiq, held discussions with Afghan Interior Minister Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani to address key issues aimed at enhancing relations between Kabul and Islamabad and resolving existing challenges.
During their meeting, Sadiq Khan expressed a commitment to collaboratively tackle ongoing issues between Afghanistan and Pakistan, with the goal of bolstering economic and interpersonal bonds between the two nations.
Conversely, the Interior Minister stressed the urgency of expediting joint efforts to address security and political challenges, safeguarding the nations' relations from harm and ensuring regional stability and development.
Sadiq Khan, Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan, arrived in Kabul yesterday.
His visit to Kabul comes at a time when relations between the two countries have experienced a recent downturn, marked by periodic unfounded allegations from Pakistani officials against the Afghan side, contentions that the Islamic Emirate has consistently refuted.
