Special Report: Rescue Operation for Crashed Russian Plane in Badakhshan Successfully Concluded
Photographs obtained by Hurriyat News depict that the small Russian jet that was crashed in Badakhshan has been located by the Islamic Emirate Air Force's rescue team. The survivors of the incident were successfully rescued and taken to the center of Koh Ab district early this morning.
According to the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, the private plane belonged to a wealthy Russian individual and was flying from Thailand to Russia via India and Tashkent. However, due to technical issues, the aircraft deviated from its intended route and entered Afghanistan's airspace, ultimately leading to the crash.
Throughout the incident, the governments of Russia, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan maintained constant communication through diplomatic channels.
The rescue teams received crucial information about the crash site late yesterday. Despite the challenging conditions, characterized by extreme cold, remote mountainous terrain, and heavy snowfall, the Air Force rescue teams persevered throughout the night. Their efforts resulted in the successful rescue of the four survivors from the crash site, ensuring their safety.
The survivors were subsequently transported to the district center of Koh Ab. Officials from the Ministry of Aviation and Transport have clarified that the plane's route was not preplanned in Afghan airspace. The deviation occurred due to technical difficulties experienced during the flight.
It is noteworthy that this incident marks the first plane crash in Afghanistan since the Islamic Emirate regained power. The search and rescue operations were effectively executed, culminating in a successful outcome.
