The deputy Minister of Youth Affairs from the Ministry of Information and Culture has announced a plan to train 20,000 young individuals in the field of freelancing within the next year.

During the graduation ceremony of 44 participants from a specialized freelancing program, deputy Minister Qari Mohammad Yunus Rashid highlighted that the program aims to equip young people with the skills necessary for online work and entrepreneurship, thereby reducing youth unemployment.

Mr. Rashid stated, "Our objective is to train 20,000 young Afghan freelancers in 2024. We have already established the foundation at the regional level, providing freelancing training that will eventually expand nationwide."

He further mentioned that specialized freelancing programs are being implemented in all provinces, including Kabul, and have shown significant progress.

In media statements, he shared, "One of our graduates secured lucrative contracts with foreign companies, earning thousands of dollars. During the training period, our youth collectively earned $14,000."

Meanwhile, Minister of Information and Culture, Mulakhirullah Khairkhah, advised the graduating freelancers to consider the welfare of fellow citizens in their pursuits.

Mr. Khairkhah added, "We aim to support our youth. Each individual should think about how they can uplift the youth in their area, providing them with education, training, and self-sufficiency in work."

Minister of Higher Education, Sheikh Nada Mohammad Nadeem, also expressed efforts to facilitate opportunities for disadvantaged individuals in Darau to contribute to Afghanistan's development.

Nada Mohammad Nadeem stated, "If there is a need for university admissions in any field, we have made efforts to place young graduates in those positions."

It is worth noting that the specialized freelancing program provided training to participants in various areas, including design, e-commerce, web development, online business, and job acquisition.
